PROCON International served as prime contractor to the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations, for design-build conversion of an existing 5,640 SF warehouse into a maintenance shop at the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The facility gives the post the workshop capacity needed to maintain its own buildings and systems. Scope included complete structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and life-safety replacement, ballistic-resistant doors, site utilities and concrete paving. Approximately 60 percent of the work was self-performed.
