PROCON International served as prime contractor to the U.S. Air Force for repair of the F-35 aircraft wash rack at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas. Routine airframe washing is fundamental to corrosion control on the F-35 fleet, and the facility must stay serviceable for aircraft to be maintained on schedule. Work was performed in a highly access-restricted flightline environment requiring individual vetting, badging and continuous escort discipline. Scope included replacement of underground water lines, valves and heated valve boxes, emergency eyewash stations and a new ground ring with lightning protection.
