R2Build-PROCON JV served as prime contractor to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District, for renovation of the Building 54 Artifacts Room HVAC system at the Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. The space requires stable temperature and humidity control, making mechanical reliability a preservation requirement rather than a comfort one. Scope included new ductwork and mechanical units, a 355 KVA backup generator with automatic transfer switch, upgraded interior electrical, new fire sprinkler and alarm systems, replacement overhead coiling doors, new CMU walls and acoustical ceilings.
